I was just getting my week planned to fish the up coming Wave Wacker and I was wonder who was fishing it this years? Sounds like the entries are down a bit.
I'll be there, hopefully they can get at least a 100 boats like the MTT. Should be fun regardless. Good luck out there, my regular partner can't make it this year so I'm bringing my brother in law to his first tourny. Hopefully we both make it back to the dock.... he talks ALOT.
Gosh, I remember when there was 225 boats in the Wacker. Times have changed. I have not fished now for two years and do miss it! The competition was none better.
It is an invite but with the lower numbers you might be able to sign up and get in.Usually they want references to keep the shady people out.A lot has to do with the economy as a lot of the people are in the trades and a lot of them arent working.Also there used to be quite a few guys that sponsors paid their entry fee and sponsor dollars have dried up.There are also a few that are still mad that day 2 got cancelled 2 years ago.Actually Im surprised they are close to 100 boats this year.Im sitting out this year but hopefully it will get back to 180-200 boats next year.
