The water temperature today at around 1pm was 49-50 deg's
I had as warm as 53 in my boat harbor.........
I motored around out maybe 1/4 from shore at the most.
The only thing I saw was one dead northern laying on the bottom just out front of my house. It was in 5-6 fow....." not sure where it may have came from"??

I have seen Saturday at 46 early and 50 late. Surface temp changes pretty rapid with sunshine. But I would say your guess of 48 average would be pretty close.
My opinion would be the 50 - 60 range being the fish are pretty concentrated and aggressive. Once the water warms over the 60 or so range they scatter to there summer haunts. Not saying the fishing isn't good then, You just need to find them as they have the whole lake of depths to swim to.
