NEW ROADS TO THE FLATS!!!!!!!!!

Today we plowed some new roads on the flats. We are now out to Fishers, Gregs, Sliver, 9-mile, Midget, Center Bar, No Name, to go along with the Boot and Blue Jug. You will be able to get to all of these flats by vehicle and you can bring wheel houses out to them. But like always be sure to check in at the resort to make sure everything is good to go.

What ever they charge its worth it. unless ur vehicle can fly through crazy snow banks u have to use them. small fee for not getting stuck on the lake.

Wheelhouses are a little different but the same price. Explanation. If you where to arrive with a wheelhouse and went to pay access you will be charged $30. But if you return that same calander day and turn your access pass back in you get a $20 refund, being the same price as vehicle per day. So another words if you pull a wheelhouse out Friday and return Sunday it would be the full $30. Is That correct Jason.

I am sure with the high winds and couple inches of snow we had yesterday they are probably blown over some, but we will get them back openned up and in good shape in no time.

Thank you, Thats a big thank you!!! for the effort in making and maintaining the great road system out on the ice!! I have been around the lake and have not seen another resort with lake roads to as many select fishing locations!!!

To think of all the labor and fuel costs spent to plow and maintain the roads this year with all the snow!!!

Great job Hunters Crew!!!

I'll second that. Thank-you all for the work you do. I never want to hear any complaints about the $10 access fee again.

Well............its the horseshoe bar in the main lodge at Hunters!!!

The best spot is under the bell!!!....that way you won't miss a free drink if someone rings it!!!

I would'nt know anything about the bell ringing thing..................

Jason, In your original posting you mention that we should be able to pull our wheelhouses out to the new flats - obviously setting up off the road. Is this still the case - has the snow settled enough that a four wheel drive truck will be able to pull a wheelhouse a few hundred feet off the roads?

Last weekend the resort or somebody cut some "driveways" off the main road I'm assuming for wheel houses. If those are still open, they might be worth checking out. They were right along the edges of the flats in some prime locations.

Been dealing with herniated discs in my low back, and going to school when my back allows.

As for sharpening hooks, watch out this year, me and Wally are swinging for the fence this season. If its anything like the last time we fished together, we could be ringing that bell till it falls off the hanger!!

Had the pleasure of riding the roads out to the flats on saturday morning. All I can say is, the road is the only way we were gonna get there on wheelers. Good job guys !!! Hey Bob, should have went to the meat raffle with us, Sheri pulled a big pulltab and this guy on the corner got so excited, he rang the bell !!! He had "no clue" what he just did and then he proceeded to buy a round !!!
