Lot's of small walleye being caught....Its almost like that winter of 2003 out on the mudflats when the small walleye went nuts!!! We are catching alot of small 8-10 inch walleye out on the mud and in on the rock reefs. At least my groups have....The over all catch for me has dropped since last report. I am still hearing of some good reports from others though.....I would suggest keep moving in search of active fish. As I know that they are getting caught!
I/8 and 1/4 oz jigging spoons have been getting the fish for us. Glowing colors in green have been good! Changing up the amount of pinched minnow head might also trigger more bites.
I was thinking the other day about how unstable our weather patterns have been. I guess I will blame it all on that for now!!
I hope to report better results next go around! I will for sure provide some pictures than also?? opp's..........
Thanks for the report Bob. Those little walleyes are good to see and the added action is great too. It usually doesn't take much coaxing to get these little guys to hammer your offering.

I have found slush on the lake....some real bad areas. The snow depth has gone down some with the warm temperatures. We were able to get off the main road pretty well out on the mud on Saturday with the atv's!!
The strong small fish bite has me a little concerned, in regards to the amount of small fry/minnows in the lake for them to feed on. Hopefully there will be enough forage for there not to be a problem with survival this winter. That year class is really important for the next few years.

I totally agree with you Jack..................................I hope that with the amount of these little buggers that are bitting, that everyone takes the time to release them quickly and safely!
