Yesterdays snow has set us back a bit as far as getting houses out and vehicles. We got around a foot of snow but with the drifting and blowing that is going on it is 3-5 feet in spots. We have been working all morning on just getting our harbor plowed off. Now we are going to start to check and make sure the cracks we have didn't get worse and make sure there are no new suprizes out there. At least we have really cold weather up here this week, so that should help things along. I'll keep everyone posted as to when we will be able to drive vehicles and when we are pulling houses. As of right now we are hoping to be pulling this weekend but more than likely it will be next week.
Did I read in another post, that you have a road staked out to blue jug? I'm sure its not much of a road now with all the drifting snow you guys got, but would it be safe to b-line it on the snowmobile out that way following the gps? As of now i'm planning on hitting the lake on Wednesday.
The roads we made out to the flats now consist of a line of stakes. If you are wanting to go out to Blue Jug or any other flat I would still follow the stakes vs taking off cross country. Especially now with the snow it is very hard to see cracks or thin ice.
Local ch.5 meterologist says were supposed to get another big snow dumping this weekend. Sounds like a repeat of last year. Slushies for everyone.....:(
I think that this year we have a better base of ice before the snow began. I could be wrong on this, but I think the ice last year was half as think when we received that snow.
