Thought I would post a few pictures from the deer feeder at the cabin. The wife got a little freaked out by the first picture. She doesn't even want to let the dogs outside. Probably won't be having any girls weekends anytime soon. Well atleast they won't be sitting around the fire at night. Good for Bar business, right Jason. LOL
When I first seen the picture, I thought at first it was a small bear. Then I sized up the feeder and the height of it's back, I would estimate it at around 220 LBS.
I consider it the same as netting, but there are other reasons not to feed deer--
"Recreational feeding congregates animals into unnaturally high densities and increases nose-to-nose contact," says DNR regional wildlife manager Paul Telander. "One infected animal can contaminate feed and potentially spread the disease to every uninfected animal at the feeding site."
