Fall Walleye bite is starting!!!

Finally the walleye action is starting to heat up on this side of the lake. Most of the fish are coming in a little deeper water than usual this time of year. 24-27 feet seem to be the ticket. We had our launches running at full force over the weekend and they were bringing in good numbers of fish. especially the evenning ones. The evenning boats brought in about 20 eyes per trip!!! That's the best we've seen since early season. The perch are also showing up on some of the shallower structure. I would say any day they will really start going, they are right on the verge now.

Thanks Jason for the post. Could you give some insight as to what is working or not working on the launches for the fall bite? I would like to try something different this fall other than pulling cranks.

Thanks!

last weekend was overcast and rain. Do you think that was a factor or does the weather not seem to be playing a big role. do you happen to have a water temp handy?

thanks jason

look forward to reports from the resort.

I just talked to Justin out on the launch right now and he said they already have a dozen fish. Today is clear sky and flat calm so it doesn't seem to be making a difference in the bite. But again he is out deeper.

Any luck on the musky trolling lately? Or have things switched to walleyes now?

I actually haven't been out much muskie fishing, but I do have a couple trips this week for muskies, so I will hopefully be posting a good muskie report by Tuesday.

Our launch was out again last night, although they did not bring in much for walleyes this trip they did catch a bunch of bigger fish.
