Had a 4 hour trip today with 2 people. Kept 5 and missed a few. Shallow rocks using slip bobbers and leeches along the east and south side of the lake.
When the sky is dark, I can get keepers out of shallow water, less than 10 feet, but if the sun is bright, I have to go 12 feet or deeper.
Perch are starting to move into the tops of the rock piles, and I expect to see some good jumbos starting to bite soon.
Water temp at noon today....73.7*F.

has the bobber bite been decent at dusk and at night? i would like to get out and do some night fishing with the bobber. love watching those slip under the water. thanks for the update Jack.
My son and I fished with Jack this time of the year last year and he put us on the fish; 2 limits of slots and some big females to finish the day. A very memorable day fishing - thanks Jack!!
As for the bite over the weekend, all our fish came out of shallow water. Our deepest bobber set was 8 feet. Most all fish came out of 5-7 feet. We caught 20-30 fish Saturday, but only half that many on Sunday. The bite is only going to get better!
Good luck out there!
