The water is cooling off and the fish are starting to bite. We were able to boat 4 slot fish on Saturday in about 11 feet on a rock reef on the east side. They where fat fat fat.

You beat my keeper fish accomplishment for the season so far in one trip. I want your autograph also.

Thanks for the postive post atleast. You dont hear much of that about the lake anymore. May you have the same fortunes next time out.

WTG Eastsider! Great job, Robert, 4 slots is awesome! You have the touch right now!

The best I did was three nice walleyes fishing with my friend, pro Tony Roach. Of course, he killed them but we carefully released all of his big hogs. When our walleye wind went down the bite died quickly or we might have done much better on the flats.

I wish more people would post about catching fish whether they can be kept or not. I think it would help draw people to the lake.

reporting would be an easier task....if we had fisherman around giving reports!

There are no boats on the lake....a few up at the Red Door fishing and yes, they are catching fish!

The fall business.........is way down from years past.

Good news

We do have a good weekend coming up with the LSF GTG at the resort!

Thanks LSF

New to the site but have fished Mille Lacs for 15 years.  Fished Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with pretty good results.  Had to fish mainly the west/north side on Monday and Tuesday because of the wind and fished the East side on Wednesday.  There are fish out there biting!!!  I would not say it is a hot bite but they are there if you put your time in.  2mph with shallow shad raps in 5 to 7ft of water was our ticket.  My boat managed 5 keepers over the 3 day span.  Most of the overs were 22 to 23 with the biggest being 27.  Did catch some 17's and then some dinks.  It was a shocker for our boat to actually catch some keepers, did not expect that to happen.  All in all it was a good three nights of fishing.
