We have experienced some extreme below zero temperatures over the past 36 hrs and yet very little improvement in our ice conditions. The areas that we have been monitoring that had measured 8 inches last Friday 12-27-13 showed a slight increase to just over 8 inches. Our areas that measured 10 inches on Saturday showed very little improvement today also. The slush on the lake froze in some areas allowing the snowmobile to carry over it while other pockets remained wet and deep. Our plan now is to look at what the conditions are the end of this week and decide if its possible to look at pulling houses on 1-6-13.
