The Red Door Resort Fishing Report 8-23-13

Not much actitivity on the fishing around the resort this past week. Trolling lead core and crankbaits has been what most have been doing. The deeper water off the mud flats has been the best areas to fish. Rapala shad raps and tail dancers have been the baits of choice. The fish need to be located on your locators. If you are not seeing fish on your graph, keep looking! The muskie action should pickup as the calendar pages get turned. The water temperature had cooled down the early part of August. But now has rose back up into the low 70's again.

Time to make your plans for the fall trolling. Fall can be a great time to get on the water before the cold and snows come! Also it's also a great time to make a visit to the fish house and check it out before the weather gets to cold to get any painting and maintance done. Check the skids, tank rack, pull devises, heater etc.
