The Red Door Resort Fishing Report 7-18-13

The reports around the resort are the walleye are going more after a spinner crawler rig than a lindy leech rig. The mud flats are still the areas to concentrate your efforts. The edges on the flats in 24-26 fow has been the best areas. Some fish are coming from on top of the flat early in the morning. As the sun comes up work off the flat into deeper water. Trolling leadcore and crank baits have also started to catch some fish. Off the flat in 30+ fow has been good. If your seeing fish on top don't be afraid to raise up your linecounters and make a run down the top! Shad raps and Salmo Hornets have been the best crankbaits reported. Evening  fishing along the edges of the flats has been a good slip bobber option.

The smallmouth action continues to offer a great option along the deep breaks along  the rocky shorelines. Tube jigs and mepps spinners have been the best baits. The water temperatures are now in the mid 70's.
