A while back, someone mentioned a map app for the IPad.  Anyone remember what it was?

Thanks to Doug ... I have the Navionics app on my iPad2.

It is excellent... I am very pleased with it.

The prioce was reasoanble and worth it. With a little WiFi you have incredible

detail of the lake on your iPad2 and excellent maps of the entire USA.

My charge for Navionics on the iPad2:

Marine&Lakes: USA HD

By Navionics

For Ipad2 was $34.99 (available thru iTunes Store)

Here is the web site for details:

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/marine-lakes-usa-hd/id409794234?mt=8

It is an outstanding application and is promoted as such;

Have fun, Malmo Mike  smilewinkbiggrin

I checked and did pay 9.99 for mine. Its for a Droid phone. That must be the difference. I just used it to help place my cabin on the lake. It worked great.

The Ipad app does run a bit more but the larger size makes it much easier to use. Well worth the money in my book. The database even has this little lake I live on in IL in it.

  BONUS

what was the price of the Ipad app? was it $34.99 like Mike mentioned.

I thought I remember seeing it at $9.99 last summer when I was cruising thru the app store on my Ipad.

The I-phone app is real decent! The maps will get you in the ballpark for most structure.

As usual, I'm 5 years behind the times, but I just moved into the ipad/iphone era.  I currently have a Lowrance H2Oc GPS with a MN lakemaster Pro chip. I would like to add a GPS to my iphone. When I went to the Navonics website I was given several options of software to buy and download. What version is everyone using for Mille Lacs..... and are there any other options available?   confuseconfuse

Thanks

Rick Anderson

Hello Rick, Happy Thanksgiving, from Malmo Mike,

My best to you and all the Mille Lacs Lake gang!

I still use and have the older iPad2 model  that I purchased back in fall of 2011.

I am still running a very nice version that works great; it is:

Navionics USA HD Version 7.3

Geo Core version: 01.50-02.00

For Support information --go to:

mobile@navionics.com

Have fun, MM
