Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with eyes or perch in the shallows.

We were at 18 feet today. Off the break in the north shore sand right by the fast break, where it goes from 19 to 10 feet real quick. We ended up with 5 fish today total, including the "slimer".

Here's some pics.

Went out of cedar creek this am got set up about 7am ish... no cell phone on my person so didnt know what time it was. set up about 100 feet or so from another house fishing the fish "highway" break in about 15 feet of water. fished till about 8 am in that one hole only losing one minnow. whatever took the minnow i never got a glimpse of it was there and gone. im thinking perch. i then moved all the way south towards the "finger" just off of pine island about 100 yards nw from the tip found about 13 to 17 feet of water fished here for about 15 minutes then found myself moving every 15 to 20 minutes eventually fishing right on the crack in about 8 to 13 feet of water. one person set up on the west side in about 16 feet of water per the gps. and that person said that they had no luck... maybe because they were on the cell phone at the time.. honeslty not a true fisherman. i only bring my phone with me to take pictures. not to talk on. then i left absout 11:15am.

I caught about 20-25 perch in that time span nothing reaching over 9 inches long for perch . no walleyes. if i were to head back out of cedar i would head towards the 25 feet of water and fish any "highway" out there i could find......

mediocre trip but ill be up in two weeks

The only thing to come of the shallow water i found 7-18 feet of water is that there are a lot of little perch in these depth ranges... fish caught on anything from nuclear ants to "bros bloodworms" all the micro tackle caught me a lot of fish this weekend but only 2 fish to size of keeping. Going to head for deeper water the next time out... the only thing i can say is that i caught fish..... not really proud of everything i caught but atleast i wasnt skunked. which is better than a lot of other guys could say. only sad part is that there were about 4 morons on the lake on saturday.... playing their radio so loud that the lake a 1/4 mile away could hear it....... next year im heading up sunday night and fishing during the week... sick of morons ruining it....
