I'm thinking of mounting my transducer to the inside of the hull up front in a Ranger, what do I need to do & is this a good idea (Tiller boat)

I'm willing to buy the right one, but I have the high speed transducer on the back, Lowrance unit

Its a great idea. My last three boats have all been Ranger tillers and thats the only way I would mount a transducer. I will not drill holes below the waterline in any fiberglass boat. There is a round puck style transducer that lowrance has that I have used in the past. It comes with epoxy to mount it in bilge. Very easy to do.
